Clubs
A small, friendly, very active running club based at Redborne School, Ampthill.
We cater for all abilities from the absolute beginner to the elite distance runner,
on road or cross-country. We also have members who compete in Biathlon/Triathlon,
Orienteering and Mountain Biking events. Current membership is in excess of 200.
Bedford Harriers was formed in 1985 by around a dozen people who got together to
organise a road race (The Bedford Marathon). Since then, the club has steadily
grown and we now have over 450 members.
We are a friendly, lively and supportive club that cater for juniors and seniors
living in Biggleswade, Sandy, Potton and surrounding villages. We participate in
running events (road races, cross country) and athletics (track and field)
throughout the year as well as organising the popular Sandy 10 road race.
Dunstable Road Runners is a growing, friendly club catering for
competitive runners as well as social runners of all ages (15 and
over) and both sexes.
Dunstable Lions RC is a running club based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire that is open to everyone that loves the sport of running. We are an encouraging friendly group of individuals that enjoy the buzz of racing, running and competing as a team, while also enjoying doing an activity we love with like-minded people.
The Leighton Fun Runners welcome runners of all ages and abilities. Our emphasis
is on safety and enjoyment, so whether you want to join us for a social run once
a week or improve your marathon fitness, you're always welcome.
Based at The University of Northampton, we like to think we are a friendly club where all
abilities of runner are welcome and you can be as competitive as you wish.
We have a current membership of around 200 who as well as training nights enter
anything from Park Runs to marathons.
North Herts Road Runners is a friendly club catering for runners of all abilities.
We concentrate on road running and cross country but also have a very lively social
calendar. Our current membership is approximately 120.
We are a group of local people of varying running ability all keen on keeping fit.

taking advantage of the lovely local countryside. So whether you want to run in the
Pancake Race, the London Marathon, do duathlon, try triathlon or just jog around Olney
before having a beer, then do come and join us.
Rugby & Northampton AC is one of the most successful athletic clubs in the Midlands. We are a vibrant,
all-age, community-based club with success at every level. Our youngest members are eight,
and our oldest actively competing member is well into his eighties! Our membership ranges from current
European and world record holders to others, who a few months ago could barely run for the bus!
Some of our members represent England; others simply enjoy getting fitter with others.
Stopsley Striders jogging club was formed in 1983 from the embers of a local jogging
course organised by local international athlete Tony Simmons. We now have an average
embership of 180, of all abilities. County champions to those who just run to keep fit
or just to complete a fun run. Our main aim is to keep running fun and to enjoy
ourselves.
Northants Triathlon are an inclusive and welcoming club based in Northampton. We cater to athletes of all abilities from season triathletes and GB age groupers right through to first time athletes and those discovering the joys of multi discipline events for the first time.
We want to encourage everyone to feel they can participate endurance sports regardless of ability.
Our running colours are red vests with black lettering.
We are a small, friendly club that is growing quickly! We now have a membership of
220, an active Triathlon section and a childrens section.
